Printworks London to Rise Again in 2026: An Iconic Venue's Redevelopment

After its grand finale, Printworks announces a three-year hiatus for redevelopment

The legendary Printworks London, which recently closed its doors, is gearing up for a remarkable comeback in just three years, according to venue operator Broadwick Live. After having hosted its Final Party on May 1st, the renowned electronic music destination is set to reopen as part of a new development in 2026.

Located in Surrey Quays, Printworks was forced to shut down due to redevelopment plans for the area, which include the construction of luxury flats, offices, and restaurants. Despite this setback, the venue commemorated its time in the electronic music scene with a series of unforgettable parties throughout March and April, featuring sets from renowned artists such as Bicep, Folamour, Black Coffee, CamelPhat, and many more.

Broadwick Live has expressed optimism for the return of Printworks, anticipating that the venue will find its place once again on the redeveloped site. Simeon Aldred, Broadwick's Director of Strategy, confirmed the company's commitment to preserving the iconic Press Halls, which form the essence of Printworks. This revamped version, dubbed "Printworks 2.0," is slated for a 2026 launch, promising to maintain the industrial vibe of the original venue, which occupies a massive 10,000-square-meter space in a former printing plant.

Aldred emphasized the importance of Printworks to the electronic music community, the city of London, and the global arts scene. The revamped venue aims to expand on this legacy, featuring not only the best in electronic music and visual arts but also hosting world-class orchestras, ballet companies, and other art forms.

Stay tuned for more updates on Printworks 2.0, and get ready for the triumphant return of one of London's most cherished electronic music venues!
